Susquehanna River Passive House — Energy Efficient House Design in Progress

Currently under construction, the Susquehanna River Passive House is a forward-thinking example of energy efficient house design set along one of New York’s most scenic waterways. Designed with sustainability and performance in mind, this residence uses Passive House principles to create a home that is as environmentally conscious as it is beautifully modern.

From advanced insulation to airtight construction and optimized ventilation systems, every component of this build supports low energy consumption and year-round comfort. Natural materials, expansive windows, and a thoughtful connection to the riverside site further enhance the home's livability and sense of place.

The design team at Conklin Architecture is working closely with consultants and the client to deliver a high-performance, low-impact home that meets today's rigorous energy standards while still feeling warm and welcoming.

This project showcases how energy efficient house design can be both innovative and inviting—setting a new standard for sustainable residential architecture in the Hudson Valley and beyond.
